Does anyone know if Rockaway Township has undertaken the process of the updating of our antiquated and poorly defined conditional use zoning laws? The fact that our laws were vague in that regard came out at the meeting previous to last nights. I am just curious if the township has any plans to rectify this situation. The minimum that should be done is the firing of the town planner for incompetitence. The maximum that should be done is the total re-write of these laws to incorporate and account for the latest Megatrends in our society.
Good Morning R. Too Bad you couldn't make it. I wanted to intoduce myself in person. My take on the whole magilla is more time for RT to line up their ducks. I am sure that through advice from the blood sucking lawyers time will certainly be needed to resolve the issues. As much as the two morons are spouting victory over at .con (iscariots ip is blocked again) nothing happend at that meeting except a summer recess.
If CC is forced to make only minor external changes to the site because of the Highlands law, and if they end up using the existing structures with only internal modifications, then I'm not sure how zoning law changes will make any impact at all. I hate to give up, but I think Craig Maiers may be correct in his final assessment of the situation.
