It doesn't matter. You and Ted, for the most part, have pushed my husband to the point of anger, and myself to total frustration.
The board comes down, and quite frankly, I could care less. We have better things to do than sit and ponder this nonsense.
The church is too big, we tried to keep that focus, but you wouldn't allow that, remember?
Childish, petty games prevailed, and we wound up getting caught up in it.
I'm not saddened; I'm relieved.
Scott wanted to give people a place to express themselves, which they did. But then it turned into a game of words and semantics. Then religious debate was brought into it, and you wouldn't agree to disagree until you had a news-worthy "scandal"--which you guys STILL bring up.
Good riddance.

You lose
Free Speech is gone. You have been defeated. Karen, you tried so hard, but in the end, you have lost
Here is my final post which Scott quickly banned. I could easily sign up with another ID from another IP address and get this post on the board for a few moments, but Scott would quickly delete it. Doesn't matter, it's only you two that need to see it.
So it comes to this. A board named with the intent to insult those that have merely written words that have infuriated you. This is an extremely low level that you have now sunk to.
Although, the posts by the owner of this board, Scott Stark, where he wishes Ted a slow and painful death couldn't be much lower.
And before that, I thought Craig Maier was the lowest form of life operating on this board. Now, Mr. Stark, you have shown yourself to go so much lower. You must be a very psychologically tortured man, to actually wish a painful death upon another human being. You must know that these thoughts prevailed in the minds of those in power in the most horrible regimes throughout history. You being a military man, I can understand where the sentiments come from, but I would hope that most in our military manage to direct those types of sentiments to the real enemies on the battlefield, those trying to kill them.
Ted's words are just that, merely words. That those words would bring the response that we have seen from you, Scott Stark, is very, very disturbing
This of course, will be my last correspondence. As it will be for most right-minded souls who have spent time on the board, I would guess
It has been said by some Opposers here, and I think it is true: Taking down this board would let those who argued against you win. You have accomplished this and so much more by the changes implemented to the forum. The name you chose says it all. The Opposers couldn't compete in the arena of ideas. Insults and expletives ran amuck. Now the beast has devoured the forum itself. The good in Karen that allowed her to keep a "Free Speech" forum has lost the battle. There is no freedom here, only tyranny and hate reign here now.
I am saddened to have to walk away from my fellow man and see him wallowing in the mud as I look over my shoulder. It is not as I would have preferred it. </P>
There is a big difference in an emotional response to irrational posts and being the irrational poster. Emotion ultimately returns to reason on the part of those in control of their sanity. Unfortunately that is not the case for the original poster. You guys have done a great job and we only wish you could continue until this is finally resolved but we fully understand your frustration and decision. See you at the next meeting.
