ATTENTION ALL PARENTS

1. Would you like all Rockaway Township students to be in ONE high school?

2. Would you like your children to remain with the same children with whom they attended elementary school?

3. Do you think it is time for a change?

Absolutely. It was sent to everyone on the Copeland Middle School PTA email list.

I personally think this would be a great thing for RT. (and I know just the location for it). Concerned about property tax implications though. We're still paying for the last referendum that was totally mismanaged by MH Regional.

Denville gets their own school at Knolls, RT Boro and Wharton stay at Hills.

It is a good idea to be looking ahead on this one. Why wait for severe school overcrowding to begin a few years down the line. After all, you need to build a larger HS anyway. When irelands K-5 kids graduate cc institute, they will need a HS to go to. Ireland himself said at a planning board meeting that he expects the local infrastructure to provide that facility for his school graduates.

He is an interesting guy. He has no problem in elevating the demand on RT's system via the graduates of his K-5 school. He has publically declared that the "local infracstucture" will be responsible for education beyond grade 5. Most of you were there; you heard it. If my memory severs me correectly, those were his exact words.

You do not think so?

Well, ask your friends who were there.

So, as always HE wants RT residents (none of which are members of his church) to subsidize not only his church (as a by-product of less tax revenue from same) but to also educate the kids of the parents that he plans to move out here.

hmmmmm

Use ED NOW before ED becomes unconstitutional based on Keloe. Right now, any town or township or other municipality can declare a property underulitized based on tax revenues produced therein.

I maintain that a so called cc church is not increasing the tax basis of RT (duh). Thus, we should take it by ED under Keloe and then develop it for the best interest of the citizens of the township in which this property resides.
