It certainly seemed that Rockaway Township's Planner negated most of VORT's Planning Expert's presentation.

So, now its time for a new conditional use ordinance.

Good luck with that.  Futile efforts.  At last the truth is finally coming out at these pb meetings though!  I have no doubt that CC and RT will get along wonderfully after the move.

The planning board has not voted on "is Christ Church" a church for zoning purposes yet, and you've got this as being over!

How laughable!  Even if this stays with the planning board, there's going to be a YEAR of hearings with architects, planners, traffic experts, etc... before any kind of decision is made.

In the meantime, the 'broken' zoning rules for conditions of conditional use will be fixed.  Of course, cc will have to meet the new rules.

See you at the next 10-14 planning board meetings (*)!!!

(*) Assuming the pb keeps jurisdiction

I wish that that fourth grade English teacher would take her word definitions elsewhere.  The adults in RT do know how to use the English language.

And, ultimately, there will be no CC in RT, of that I am certain.

It was brought out by the planner that this 412,000 square foot building could hold about 10,000 persons at any given time.  WOW!  Consider the IMPACT of that.

Ya gotta be nuts to think otherwise.  How many people did one of the World Trade towers hold?

I am pretty sure craig that the 4th grade english teacher posted that for thankful. And remember the part about free speech?  Oh and real adults when they go to work ,do just that. They don't monopolize company computer time on a message board.

Based on the testimony of RT's own Planner and the remarks of the RT attorney, it was pretty obvious which way they felt it should go.  If the board votes against their recomendations, that's their choice.  I think that's where the "personal" lawsuits might come into play.

And if they conclude that cc is a church, is it over?   We've been meeting for what, 5 or 6 months already.  What has been decided.  ireland got to be introduced to the town and next month, the pb decides if cc is a 'church' for planning purposes.  If they do decide it is a 'church', the REAL planning board meetings will begin...Everything up to this point was just leader...Nothing has been discussed yet about impact.  Hey - even Dimin admitted we'd hear the facts ad nauseum...cc will bring their experts (3/4 of a year), VORT will bring their experts (3-6 months), the town will bring their experts (3-6 months)...Maybe we'll be looking at a decision by the end of 2005...maybe....

What about the rewording of the conditions for conditional use?  It WILL take place.  Our town planner will insist on it!  How will this affect the application?

What about the BOE decision?  It will come fairly soon.  That could be an early end game if they decide to take the land....

All over?  Hardly.

Who said "over" ?  Besides you?

My original intention was that this first phase is over (ok, said it now) based on what was said last night. That's all.

Is it all over?  Hardly.  You're right, long ways to go.  But as it has been said to the question of "How do you eat an elephant?"

Answer: One bite at a time.

The first bite is about to be swallowed.
