Hi Ted... I'm glad you are starting your own Education Awareness group, "Concerned Citizens for Sensible Spending in Education".
I was suprised to not find you in attendance at last nights meeting at Copland where the 4 final candidates for the position of principle were given the opportunity to be questioned in a roundtable/debate style group, as well as one on one. Perhaps I overlooked you.
This school has had some acvtive turnover in that position and we are all pretty aware of the fact that this decesion is the most important and impactful decision as far as direct connection with the children's interests that the board will make this year.

Given the fact that even members of the BOE have called the facilities committee recommendations into question, We and others throughout RT feel an unnecessary new school will hurt more than help.

Uhh....Ted, please help my feeble mind understand what the connection is between my post and your relpy.
My intent was to try to understand how someone who claims to care so deeply about the school system in this town, wouldn't attend a quaestion and answer opportunity for the candidates for the postion of principle of our middle school.
The opportunity was offered to give direct feedback to the members of the BOE about the appointment....a crtitcal one, since we have had too much turnover in this postion that has affected performance and morale for the last few years.
You could have made some worthwhile constructive contribution at that time.

Give yourself more credit than that. As you've noted, there has been too much turnover of the Copeland Principal job. Clearly, the position changes at the whim of the teachers union and BOE members with a grudge but the new school issue is affected by you and me.
They say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. It must be nice to know that even your biggest detractor (tED) has taken to imitating what you have done. We may not agree with anything tED says, but it should bring a smile to your face to know that he has flattered you with his attempt to create a new citizen's group.

Lisa and vORT aside your comment is interesting in that you seem to oppose me just to be contrary. It's a little like cutting off your nose to spite your face, isn't i?
Apparently you agree that we don't need a school but are afraid to say so...don't be frightened stand for what is right!
