Listen I reland has been pretty upfront with some of his statements however controversial they may be...i.e. "I will not pay for road improvements", "I will not pay for 24 hour security on my campus" etc...
He has not wavered or been flexible on anything....
Why must the opposers of the Churches MOVE (note I did not say opposers of the church) do as the media pressures?????
I feel we fell victim to CC shills.
Should we change our approach simply because they want to change our town??
Sure there have been extreme arguments on both sides, most of which have been fueled by frustration.
I am disappointed by the lack of disipline, but still embrace the enthusiasm by all opposers of this monolith moving into our town.

I remain impressed with the efforts of Voices of Rockaway Twp. I thank them for all of the effort to educate and inform us as to what is going on.
I understand why they broke the link between sites and find it to be an appropriate responce to the attacks they have endured in the newspaper. I wish the press really showed both sides of the issue as it would give people a balanced view of the facts. However the tone in which the reporting of the CC matter has taken seems to thrive on confusing the situation.
This is about the land, the community and our taxes. Not what a few freaks write on a message board (I include myself in the "freaks" ) - face it we are just people with an opinion on a topic that will have life long implications for us...we want to share our opinions...and will continue to do so.
As I indicated months ago, maybe we need to fight fire with fire meaning that RT needs to hire a professional PR firm as well. As a town, we are intentionally saving ourselves perhaps 100,000 bucks a year by not doing so. I wonder what it is really costing us. Only the future will tell.
