It's been claimed that Real Estate values are dropping in the area around Green Pond Rd.
Many have pointed to CC as the reason for the decline. But CC's arrival is by no means certain. In fact, most on this board seem certain that CC will not gain admission to Rockaway Township. Certainly, CC’s slim chances can’t be putting any pressure on house values.
What is certain, is that several residents around the Green Pond area have been very vocal about their opposition to a church. One resident has publicly admitted that his opposition has a lot to do with the church’s religious views.
Could factors such as the perceived views and attitudes of these residents be the real reason that property values are declining in this part of town?

Ask any realtor and you will get the same answer. Uncertainty about anything major affects the local real estate market.
Sorry - I don't buy your attempt at putting blame on people who oppose Christ Church from causing prices to drop.
Your post is another sad attempt by the Christ Church shills to divide the residents of our township.
Keep scratching your flea bites. Go find another dog to bite.

Maybe if we could get our test scores up in the schools we would enjoy higher resale values. Our houses are worth double in the top school district towns (Mountain Lakes, Chatham, Madison) ........and taxes are higher here.
I think that real estate values in our section of town (the Meriden area) are tanking because folks in the market for a home dread the possility (although it is very slim that cc will come to town) of not being able to get out of their own driveways on Sundays. It would sort of effect the ambience just a tad with 25,000 people comming to the end of our block every Sunday, don't ya think?? duh.
I realize I may have not picked a unique enough name, but the above "Curious" is not me (the CC supporter who points out all of the fallicies of the saner posting here )

Maybe they're tanking because there's somebody who's really foul mouthed (yet very spiritual) that lives in that area?
And Maybe they are afraid to live nearby to a Jew who's soul (by definition) is going to go to Hell as defined by the cc Fundametalists cause I do not accept Jesus as my Saviour.
