I can not help but notice that the DEP did not present a public forum for us to express concern.
But, that is no suprise to me. It is all just a charade. The exemption shall be re-instated shortly. I wonder how much money it will have ended up costing cc for that?
One more person to contact ,Jon Corzine. Please reach out to Corzines office and tell them how important the highlands are, how important 140 Green Pond Rd is to Rockaway and all of NJ, tell them that Rockaway Twp is a wonderful community that believes in freedom of religion - but also believes in fairness, protecting the environment and honesty, tell them that the exeption to the highlands should be retracted completely, not simply 'stayed'. Explain that this exemption has nothing to do with the practicing of someones religion as CC is able to practice their religion in its current space with much success, thereby the need for a mega-complex in the core of the highlands is not the "only" way they can practice their religion. Also let them know that Corzine ran on the concept that "pay to play' was the wrong way to operate the NJ government and he should start off on the right foot.

The Christ Church Plan for the redevelopment of 140 Green Pond Rd is just too big for the area.
