I just read the Record Article. It is always interesting how the truth can be twisted regarding the representation of ones position. A few points:
1. No mention was made that some people supporting cc started religous philosophy discussions on this board.
2. It was not mentioned that I was responding to those posted implications by guys like Mathew. (Jews will not go to Heaven in their view since we have not accepted their beliefs). I still find that concept extremely offensive.
3. That I limited my disgust to this group (cc) since they are Non-Denominational Fundamental Evangelical Christians which I consider to be a "cult."
4. That I furthermore expressed in my writings on this board to point out that these teachings are not those of the Roman Catholic faith as discovered by myself in three telephone conversations with local priests in my study of this phenomenon. These beliefs are held by the Fundamentalists and not the Christian world at large.
Funny how all that is missing from the article and yes, I still do feel that way about it all.

You are the king of that phenomenon, of that there is no doubt.
That article is now fanning flame of religious dissnetion, as it did with racial bias.
Craigs letter was one extreme view...as is Irelands.
Are they right??? I won't waste time pondering the question....
Because it's not a question of religion or race dag nab it!!!!!
But the rags like the Record, Citizen and Community News all need to sell papers, and these reporters need to have something to write about that is interesting.
Man...didn't you know that they would eventually turn to this forum to gather junk to sway opinon in the spinmiester ways????
Craig....I'm not coming out against you...but shudder when you go so far off on a public forum , and post your full name and address....Fella...there are wackos out there!
Exteme views may be valid, and you are entitled....but extremes just polorize people, and the actual issue becomes muddled.
This is not about religion....don't make it that way. Don't create animosty where there is none.
If Ireland wants to divide the town using race and religion to do so...make him do the dirty work.... Don't give in to his work Stay the coarse..... Let him take the low raod....Rockaway is a good blend of people with all religions coexisting.... Don't let Irelend "F" it up. Don't stoop to his level...Ignore the likes of Matt/Todd/Ted/Russ when it comes to rabble rousing BS.....
State your case and move on.... Size Scope Impact Burden
Please keep in mind that I did not ask to have an article written. Those expressions on this bbs are just my views which you have seen. I still maintain those views. That does not make them valid nor worthy of an article in the newspaper. However, my views remain unchanged on this topic. What am I supposed to do, go and hide? That will never happen.
I was basically responding to some of the Vitreol that I have seen by cc supporters on nj.con and this venue as well on that subject. I find their views about people like myself and our souls destiny to be despicable.
I doubt that too many other people really care, however about my opinion on this. Yet, it will not stop me from expressing it.
I too, spoke with Jennings today and also told him that the referenced post by you was in response to the evangelical drivel by Matthew. Surprisingly, Jennings didnt seem to have anything bad to say about you. He seemed to respect your ability to make your point and be heard.
I agree. I do not think that Mr Jennings has any personal problems with me. It is just that some of the context (or perspective) of things got lost in the shuffle. Perhaps, as a reporter, it is extremely difficult to get across the entireity of any given story. I really do not know since I have never attempted to be a "reporter." I have not walked that walk.
It is my opinion that reporters like juicy stories and newpaper owner like to sell papers. Responsible papers resist this natural tendency in favor of being fair and factual. Lesser papers sacrifice journalistic responsibility in order to sell papers. Unfortunately the daily record has chosen to take the low road of journalism and emulate the new york post rather than the new york times. It's unfortunate because they do have a responsibility to be fair in their reporting. Maybe they'll do better next time but I wouldn't count on it.
