Questions for Matthew - still unanswered

Matthew,

I'm still waiting for your responses to my questions...

Please look up the words 'heathen' and 'infidel' in your dictionary.  I have provided you with links to make it easier.

These questions are mostly YES or NO questions.  Feel free to discuss your reasons or quote from the bible AFTER answering, but please answer YES or NO.  As of this point, my belief is that what you have represented as your Fundamentalist Christian religion, is a small-minded, hateful attitude.  Please answer the questions below - hopefully you can prove that I am wrong.

  • Do you consider all Jews to be heathens and infidels (note - for the purpose of this discussion, "Jews for Jesus" are NOT considered Jews)?

  • There are over 1 billion people in China.  They represent approximately 20% of the world population. Most are good people and lead simple, peasant lives.  Most will never hear of Jesus or even of Christianity in their lives.  Yes or no - will they all rot in hell when they die?  Yes or no, are they heathens?  Yes or no, are they infidels?

  • Let's go back to the old testament - before the time of Jesus.  This one is NOT a yes or no question.  How did one get to heaven BEFORE Jesus was born?

  •  Back to yes or no.  Do you believe that G-d gave Moses the laws that mankind should live by while Moses was on Mount Sinai?

  • If your answer to the above question about Moses was yes, then I would like to know - Did G-d change the laws after Jesus died (yes or no)?

I look forward to your response.  I am enjoying our theology discussion and learning about a religion OTHER than my own.  I would really like to understand the religion that you follow - one that might have many thousands of people in my town in the near future (not my wish, but possible).  I admit that I have only been at Christian services a handful of times in my life (2 communions, a baptism, and a couple of Christian weddings), and never at a Fundamentalist service.  I know very little about your religion, but would like to understand it better.

HAND,

JR

Jay,

There's no need for me to re-invent the wheel.

This is a good place for you to start:

http://www.christiananswers.net/q-aiia/religionssame.html

I haven't read everything on this site, but what I have read I completely agree with.

Feel free to ask me any questions of yours that are not answered on that link.

Are you a politician Matthew?

Is there a reason you are afraid of answering the questions?

Perhaps answering the questions will show the bigotry you feel inside towards those who do not hold your own beliefs?

Is there a reason that you refuse to answer the questions?  Please tell us.  These are simple, direct, mostly yes or no questions.  I expect yes or no answers - with any additional commentary or bible quotes you want.  I do not expect a link to another website telling me 'go look it up yourself'.  As the first Fundamentalist Christian I have ever discussed religion with, I would like to have YOUR insight and YOUR simple, yes or no answers.

Thank you,

JR

Jay,

You wanted to know what I believe regarding world religions and Christianity.  I have offered the answers to you.  It will take some small effort on your part to read them.  If you are unwilling to do this, it would appear that you really don't want to find out about Christianity.

In any case, I have pointed you to a website full of answers to all the questions you have asked and more.  It is even possible that I have contributed heavily to much of the content of that website.  But that is irrelevant, since I have told you that I agree with the content.

You stated  "I expect yes or no answers "  to your questions.

It may be that you are confused and feel that this forum should follow the rules of a courtroom.  That is not the case.

If you want answers, they are there for the taking.

Matthew,

I have asked for your opinion as a Fundamentalist Christian on simple yes or no questions.  You refuse to answer.  You post links to religious websites and bible quotes.  These sites do not give me simple yes or no answers.  I apologize.  As I am a simple man, I will tell you that I require simple quotes.

Initially, you made many bold statements that hinted at your opinion.  I do not care to read pages and pages of your websites.  I only ask for you yes or no answers so all of Rockaway Township can see what a Fundamentalist Christian thinks.

By the way, I went through your website and did NOT find answers to my questions...Do I need to repeat them again?  Or will you refuse to answer them again.

Again, your refusal to give answers leads me and others in Rockaway Township to believe that one or more of the following is true:

  • You are embarassed by your beliefs and do not want to share them in public.
  • You are afraid that since your beliefs are so hateful, stating them in public will show everyone how hateful you and others of your ilk are.

  • You really do not hold those beliefs, but are a troll.

  • My feeling is that you are embarassed by your beliefs because they are anti-everyone not like yourself.  Matthew, you are xenophobic.  You are embarassed to state that every one of the billion plus people in China is destined to go to hell because they do not ebrace Jesus.  You don't want to unequivocally state your hatred for all to see.  My feeling is that others here will agree with me.  I am glad that MY religion does not embarass me.  I wouldn't want to belong to one that does.

Again - don't answer the questions asked - your silence says as much as your answers would.

    Jay,

You are a very fast reader!

It appears that you are trying to imply that somehow I decide who goes to Heaven.  As I have stated, not only do I have no control over this, I also do not have the knowledge of who goes.  This is because I have been given the insight to only one persons inner-most thoughts.  Mine.

    You stated

"You are embarassed to state that every one of the billion plus people in China is destined to go to hell because they do not ebrace Jesus."

It is not embarassment that would keep from making this statement.  It is ignorance.  For I do not know the hearts of any of the many people in China.  Nor of the others you mentioned.  Any answer to a hypothetical question of this nature is of no use.

It is great that you are so concerned with the people in China.  There are many problems there and their needs are many.

But for the purpose of this discussion, Jay, the question really is, do YOU Jay, need to be cured?

And have you found a cure?

    Matthew

    Your statement:

Never said they didn't do ANY good.  I simply said they weren't getting people into heaven as far as I could see.

No - you don't decide, but you do have an opinion based on your religious beliefs.  An opinion you hinted at from the statement above, but now refuse to share further when questioned (please answer my questions at the top of this thread - again - in YOUR opinion, what are the answers).

As I have stated, not only do I have no control over this, I also do not have the knowledge of who goes.

Ah, but in your quote above, you claim knowledge of who is NOT going.  You clearly stated that they [Jews, Muslims, Hundus, Buddhists, etc] are not getting people into heaven.

This is because I have been given the insight to only one persons inner-most thoughts.  Mine.

Exactly - and I have asked for your insights with my questions.  Why do you continue to refuse to answer?

I can share something from their hearts.  The vast majority of the Chinese (over 99.99%) do not believe in Christianity nor in Jesus.  From your initial statements, I must therefore believe that they can not get to heaven and must spend eternity in hell.  Is this not your view?

Nor of the others you mentioned.  Any answer to a hypothetical question of this nature is of no use.

These are not hypothetical questions.  I removed that one.  These are merely questions of your opinion.

    Matthew,

I do not know what 'cure' you are talking about.  I try to avoid 'cured' meats as the nitrites are not good for you.  I have my own beliefs about G-d, and they are not inclusive nor xenophobic.  Are yours?

    Jay,

    Avoid the nitrates for sure.

But that aside, I need your help on a few things.  Please see my posted questions under the Gossip thread.

    Thanks,

    Matthew
