to the rev. Why is this area his "promised land"? You would think a man of the cloth would be more loving. But no, not this guy. He buys people and it seems towns. He makes enemies and doesn't seem to care. He wants to put his roots where no one in the town is a member of his organization. He is intent on destroying people's happy homes. I sure don't want to be there when he meets his maker. His prediction of bringing millions into the area from his people buying our homes, well, I question if they want to put up with the traffic and tax burdens that will be put upon us if this organization gets in. I call it an organization because I can't believe anything being of a religious nature would stoop to such low tactics to get what they want. He doesn't care about the environment, he doesn't care about people losing their greatest possessions in life (their homes), he doesn't care what disruption he will do to our community. He's all about him and money. And people support this man and give him their hard earned money? Talk about another Jimmy Jones. I can't believe anything good will come of this organization with their bully tactics and self indulgence. It's a faith that I believe is way closer to the devil than the other way around. They have shown no good attributes to RT. No good faith, no nothing. They can't see that their numbers are way too massive for where they want to go. They will find out. We here in RT know that our infrastructure cannot support their numbers. My only hope now is that the rev will lose his following once they see what they have to go through and hopefully he will become bankrupt like others have with their mega centers. If our town cannot stop them, well lets see who makes it in the next election cause cc can't vote. I'm totally disgusted with this whole thing. And if they get in, well, it's time to move out of here cause we will become doormats for people who aren't even a part of our community and savor taking from us.
Exactly my point. Greedy hungry money making machine is what the rev sees cc as. I have no respect for his religious values. Because the way he acts reverses any good, which I have not heard of, the he may have done. I'm just totally upset about the separation of church and state when the state plays so much into this. Isn't it about time someone challenges this??? These "mega centers" are preying on the poor while taking from those who have worked hard to achieve their life dreams of owning a home and raising a family and enjoying the quality of life they have worked so hard for. And this charlatan comes along, thinking he found a way to make a quick buck and destroys what people have worked so hard for. The government has to find a better way for these land deals that disrupts a whole community and in this case, for those who are not even members of this "mega center".
Unfortunately, he has a legal right to rape the land and pillage from the poor which is a right that is amplified by our system because he is a black guy.
Look at what Jessie Jackson has done to corporations in terms of shaking them down by insisting on contributions to his "Rainbow Coalition". White people would end up in prison for what he has done, but no government law enforcement agency is going to touch him simply because he is a self proclaimed black minister.
The IMPACT (to use the revs words) that people like this have on the rest of society has been rendered totally irrelevent and politically incorrrect to even discuss in the public forum.
