Some Adjunct Opinions about cc's effect on RT

I wanted to present some more detailed "adjunct" opinions regarding the effect of cc on RT.  These are strictly my opinion and not that of VORT nor anyone else in RT as far as I know.

1. The cc, if approved, will grow to 25,000 members in no more than 5 years after approval. My opinion only.

2. The dominent political power in the town shall be cc if approved in about the same period of time (5 years).  That is because they will not beg for services, but demand them.  My opinion only.

3. RT will become much more of an Urban area (sorta like Morristown or Newark) in the next ten years if we approve this thing.

4. Green Pond Road will have to be widened by condemming about 25 properties and doing some major "cliff blasting" to accomodate cc members so that we can get to our churches too on Sunday mornings.  Just my opinion.  This will be demanded (not optional) by Ireland when he sees his growing flock unable to make services on time on Sundays.  He knows this right now.  Just my opinion and totally unprovable.  But do your own math.

5. Farber Hill Road will need to be widened to provide for a reasonalbe alternative route in the event of emergency.  Perhaps even Meriden Road will fall into that category.  That will cost RT big bucks.  My opinion.

6. Several traffic lights will have to be added.  They will have to be located as follows:

One on Meriden and Green Pond Road

One on Meriden and Old Beach Glenn Road/Farber Hill Road.

One on Meriden Road and Old Beach Glenn/Farber Hill Road.

One on Diamond Spring and Old Beach Glenn Road/Farber Hill Road.

Is this the place that  we signed onto when we moved here?  Not I!  We have lived in the inner city and know what it is all about.

We moved here to RT to get away from all that.

Again, this is just my opinion.

7. School grades 6 - 12 will have to be expanded at taxpayer expense since Ireland has decided to provide a school for K - 5 for (so he says) 500 kids. (over 70 classrooms for 500 kids).   He he has stated in sworn testimony when asked "who is going to provide for these kids schooling after Fifth Grade - - - ?  (Mayor Sceusi asked this question).  His answer was "the local community.  (I take that to mean that means us folks - - - dig even deeper into your wallets to support cc).  Again, just an opinion of mine, as misguided as it may be.

8. All resource drains on the community because of cc will be on us.  That is Irelands position, unless I got it wrong.  Just my opinion.  He has no problems laying all this responsibility on us here in RT and expecting us to respond with a  "you  got it" response.  Again, just another opinion on my part.

9. Real Estate will become pretty much worthless in this town in the next five years if we approve this cc thing for two reasons:

     A. Who will want to live in a town taken over by a Megachurch with a membership larger than the population of the township in which it resides??

     B. Who  in Morris county is going to want to live in a town wherein the main and only artery is completely clogged by the traffic caused by total outsiders of the RT community?  These people will have no responsibility here, just expectations.

     C. Who in RT is going to want to deal with Septic Problems when an outsider like CC completely takes over our Sewerage allocation not allowing the rest of us homeowners to use this resource to our own advantage?  I am of the opinion that Ireland could not care less how we deal with this problem.  It is all on us.

And as I have said many a time before, "What is in it for all of Us?"  (As my ma used to say, what are we, chopped liver??)

HMMM - - -

Loon - or Craig Egg Head.

I prefer Craig Egg Head since I appreciate cleverness in name calling.

But call me whatever you like.

Craig
