Did everyone notice the new sign in front of 140 Green Pond Rd. today? Hope they didnt spend too much on it since it will eventually have to come down again.
As I am still on a protracted business trip far from RT, I have not seen it for myself. But, did the sob install this sign on RT property (ie the future "Green Pond Road Recreational Park" site?}. I bet he did. If so, I am curious what you guys are going to do about that?
If he did install his sign on RT (public) property, you can force him to remove it on several legal theories. The most obvious is that it is not his property. So, just tell him to get his $hit off of your property. The second is a Federal Law that forbids the use of state owned public property to be used to promote a specific religion.
If he installed it between the Stream Bed and Green Pond Road, it is on Rockaway Township property. Where is it folks? I am 1000 miles away so I can not check it out for myself.
The sign is or was a new cover that went over the existing Agilent sign. Not sure why it's no longer there, but this morning I went by and it's gone leaving the blue Agilent sign uncovered.
If that is where the sob had put it, then it was on Rockaway Township property. The property between the stream bed and GPR belongs to RT. You should post a no tresspassing sign there over the Agilent sign. (I would guess that Agilent had special permission to put their sign on RT property - - - no need to give him any special anything but a kick in the A$$).
Yeah I wonder what happened to it. It was there about 5:30pm on Friday nite when I passed, but at 9am Sat it was gone. I assume that Agilent had permission to place their sign at that location Rat, so I guess the new owner feels he is permitted to do the same. I think the twp should revoke the right of way to GP Rd. and make them remove the driveway and the sign.
pehaps we are on to something here - let's revoke any entrance through our property along GPR - it should be legal, let's put it to a public vote (it's OUR community owned property).

ps - drive by our home on Meriden - - - my wife has assured me that the MLS for sale sign is present.
We are attempting to vote about the situation at hand with our feet. We paid a total of 517 K for the property to construct a custom home there in 1987. We added another 100 K into it over the years to date. It is truely a "Mini Estate", with three + acres and severeal ponds and 10+ acre adjacent lots. We have been told that our RT home will not draw more than around 600 K because of some unknown entity that no real estate agent will describe to us. We have also been told that we will not be able to replace our home in Morris county for the same price. We have been told by real many real estate agents that our property will cost 1.2 Megs to replace anywhere in Northern NJ. But we are not idiots and we understand the situation and are proceeding with the sale, nonetheless.
