As in your case, some in this life are handed a worse hand than others. Our family has had their medical problems also but instead of becoming bitter have chose to turn a negative into a positive.
Calling my husband names for defending his daughter from your unfounded insults borders on the absurd. Accusing my daughter of lying is as far from the truth as it could be. Lisa is a researcher and any statements she makes are based on the best information at hand at the moment.
It appears Mr Doty you enjoy playing devil's advocate but the name calling on both sides of this issue is totally inappropriate and serves no purpose.
Your bitterness must have a negative affect on your family. For their sake and your own I would suggest you redirect your mindset. I am sure you could accomplish something worthwhile if you only tried.

I'm well aware of the medical problems suffered by your family and the tragedys it has wrought in the past.
But it doesn't cange the fact that you husband is an a--hole. I say that not because he defended your daughter, becase as far as I know he has not. He deserves the title because he interupted a conversation I was having, got nose to nose with me and started to ridicule me and call me names. Now I don't wish him ill as some do me but he is an a--hole.
The insults I direct toward your daughter are WELL founded and shame on you for attempting to hide behind her (and your husband's) disability...it gives the rest of us a bad name
Simply stated you are your own worse enemy. What is so sad is that you do not see how the rest of the world sees you. I suggest you take a step back and look yourself in the mirror.
I could drag myself down to your level and call you names, lie about you and call your parents names. However MY parents raised me to be honest, care about my community, to work to HELP people and to be a good person. In Sunday School I also learned how to turn the other cheek. I will NEVER be dragged down to your level, nor will any member of my family.

Having just returned from a funeral where the virtues and compassion of the gentlemen were related for all to hear I would offer some advice. Take a deep breath, calm down, hug your family and count your blessings. Remember your cup is half full not half empty.
