Just got done watching her on the Lou Dobbs report - wow! She is very well spoken, was very addament on her stand against religion highjacking politics and trumping others rights under the law. Bring it on rEv - I can hardly wait to hear about how the circus was thrown out of Federal court...LOL!!!!
You play kinda fast and loose with other peoples money
But take a serious look. The Township doesn't want a lawsuit. According to Sceusi current tax revenue barely makes ends meet. More emergency equipment is needed for the mall, roads need repair the sewer district will soon need upgrade, costs keep increasing all around and mall anchor stores are challenging their tax bills.
Nobody WANTED a lawsuit. It wasnt the towns choice or anyone else's except the Rev. He didnt even wait for them to make any decision before playing the Federal RLUIPA Lawsuit card. So tell him your feelings. He intended to sue from the getgo and couldnt wait to do it, just to try to push the country bumpkins around. So even though nobody wants a lawsuit, if you are going to get sued, its nice to have it be a ridiculous one made up of unsubstantiated lies that you are sure to win against in court. The town could certainly collect damages too, so it may end up being profitable.
I wonder if anyone ever told the state school ethics committee to buckle under to all complains - oh, NOW you've done it! You've had a complaint filed against you and it will COST YOU MONEY TO DEFEND. Better not defend yourselves - just give in to the complainant. It'll save you money in the short term, and aren't we all myopic gadflies - afraid to look 6 months or 5 years into the future?
Guess what [legal] eagle - The school ethics committee did the right thing (4 times) and our township will do the right thing. When frivolous complainst are lodged against you (or with you in the case of the ethics committee), you vigorously DEFEND yourself, you don't just give in to the complainer (whiner!) to save the cost of fighting. I would have thought you would have figured that out by now. Of course, a smart person would have figured it out after being fined for his third frivolous complaint. Some people, I hear take four frivolous complaints and TWO fines before they figure it out , although I'm sure there are people waiting for number five...
Yeh I think someone needs to go check the records to see how much money Ted and his BS cost this town, not just the BOE issues but his driving up the stairs at townhall! I would bet that the costs are way more then the towns cost on the CC matter. Remember CC has to pay for all the reports and studies related to its application and the town has insurance to protect us from BS law suits.
I would bet that TED is responsible for wasting more tax dollars then ANY OTHER SINGLE PERSON IN THIS TOWN!
