To keep our town a viable and desirable place to live and work, schools are a HUGE concern to most prospective buyers - ie - property value.
Look at the top home values in NJ and you will see a correlation to top rated school systems (I know tED, there are always exceptions to any rule)
It would be short sighted of our school board to do anything less than bring the full brunt of the eminent domain law to 140 Green Pond Road. The alternatives could be made to work in the short term, but we will undoubtebly find ourselves in the same quandary in the foreseeable future, with no room to expand on the other two sites. The one thing that cannot be disputed is the fact that "they ain't making land anymore".
It may cost more (debatable) to go this route, but we are at a huge fork in the road for our Township. Let's bite the bullet here and now and look forward to the future of our wonderful town, for ourselves, our, elderly, and our children.
One need only look at recent history to realize that sometimes the harder road needs to be taken, so, damm the torpedoes - let's roll.
