County Planning Board

We went out to dinner with some politically knowledgeable folks tonight compared to ourselves.  Previously unknown to us, there is a County of Morris Planning Board who also must sign off on things like a Megachurch which may interfere with the infrastructure of adjacent towns.  Thank G-d!!  We had no idea about this element of government, {which means almost nothing given our background (ethical drug research and engineering)}.

Seems like it is time to inform the County PB of irelands intention to turn Northern Morris Country into his dream and our traffic nightmare.

Anyone ever heard of this element of government?  Time to Rock 'n Roll on the county level, folks!

Hasn't Rev Ireland been saying that GPR is a county issue anyway? ... I believe one of his points is that the road has nothing to do with RT ... so apparently he thinks the county will take care of his request to widen GPR when he asks

when i heard him talking about it, it sounded like his plan was to ask to have GPR made into 4 lanes up as far as meridan ... wouldn't traffic be great during that! ... or perhaps that's a reason why they will need to be able to exit via meridan (to accomodate the construction period)

I did not know that ireland was going to widen GPR.  Isn't that going to cost HIM a lot of money?  I see no reason why the good citizens of Morris should pay for conveniences associated with a church whose membership is based and living in Essex county, do you?

Rat,

Yet again further proof you run off at the mouth before you have any clue what you are talking about.  I hope you feel good and foolish now.  The people who have really been working to stop this nightmare are well area of all of the avenues required for CC to actually move forward this is on the town, county, state and federal level.  There are parties at EVERY level of the government that must issue approvals before this project can move forward.  This process starts with the planning board of RT them moves to county and state levels and in this case there are several issues that will require federal approval. Read the federal clean water act if you are lost.

A little education can take you a long way. Now will you try to act like your name and stop all the rantings on non-issues?????

Continuing on -

If ireland has come to recognize that he will create traffic that will require the widening of GPR to 4 lanes for the 1/2 mile stretch that is presently only two lanes, coupled with his new concept of having all incomming traffic via GPR and all outgoing traffic going via Meriden road, does that not also imply that Meriden Road would also have to be made into 4 lanes?  Ultimately, Input volume = Output volume, so Meriden would have to be widened to accomodate the volume that came in via the 4 lane GPR.

Furthermore if he were to be asking for RT and Morris to be paying for these improvements, would that not be, in effect, state sponsered religion?  Is the "state" allowed to spend tax dollars to further the cause of one particular church?
