I too feel the daily frustration that you all face at NJ.com. I have just been lurking on this message board until now. I would like some opinions on my theory or maybe some help in researching this theory.
As an avid stock message board reader, I have become all too familiar with the term "paid basher" or "paid pumper". In a stock situation it is mostly use to manipulate the price of a stock either up or down. These posters are relentless, posting day and night and never waivering from their cause. They get paid by responses of others on the message board. They get paid one price if someone reads their posts and another price if someone responds to them. I fear we have not only "fed the Troll" but PAID THE TROLL!!!
I did Google search for "www.nj.com" and came up with the following companies being somehow linked to NJ.com. I wonder how??? Maybe "basher" type jobs??? hmmmmm

I could not agree with you more, PrintGirl. I too know these type of people. I do believe also that ToddDavid, aka. Russ Jones, is just this type of person. Maybe someone on the inside can find out about this and confirm your theory.
