Lovely Article

in today's Neighbor News about our not-so favorite Rev and how he sponsored a "look at me" luncheon for all of our local politicos. Based on comments made by Mayor Excusie it would appear that he has gone to the evil side as well as he welcomed the circus into our town. The scope of the plan doesnt sound like it has been reduced and it doesnt sound like there is much standing in the way of the main construction other then the DEP exemption (and we all know how much we can rely on them). I cant help but think what a far reaching message it would have sent if all the important people had declined the invitation. But then again, I guess, Unity, Determination, and Support for RT residents should be expected to take a back seat to politics and free food. C.

Yup - - - that article made me sick to my stomach. I do not see the political advantage to throwing the citizens of the town under the bus to support a bunch of people who do not live or vote here in RT.

I just do not get it. So, are we going to vote Press out? Same for Sceusi?

Whatever happened to sepration of church and state? Local politicians should have declined the invite. Vote them all out.

I agree completely. None of them will ever get my vote again. I am guessing that someone of authority must have put the word out that everyone was expected to attend or they never would have gotten that many from RT. According to the story, most councilmen incl. Max Rogers (who was always a very vocal opponent of CC) was there and 3 from the PD and the FD. I know the economy is bad and I'm having trouble paying for groceries too, but there were that many that wouldnt pass up a free meal? Just seems very strange to me. C.

Our governments (local, state and federal) are supposed to represent our best interests; that is supposedly what we call "The American Way".

I can not be the only one who has come to the realization that none of our government(s) represent the best interests of anyone other than themselves. It would seem that the representative system is totally broken.
