Did anyone else notice how a couple letters to the editor in todays (Sundays) papers sounded like familiar rantings from a certain forum? Going on about how the continued smaller attendance at the planning board meetings shows that most people arent against the church coming in. What is also interesting is that the same writer had the same letter appear in both the Daily Record letters today AND the Star Ledger on the SAME DAY! Its hard enough to get both papers to print a letter, much less the same one in both on the same day. You know the Star Ledger, the owner of NJ.COM.
If you have a paid professional media consultant, I do not think that these are difficult things to accomplish. We probably need our own media consultant if we want to compete on a level playing ground. They have the upper hand with the media and nj.com.
Yeah, they're using a PR guy but the point was that meeting attendance is getting smaller. I'm not arguing the committment of your group or the strengh of its numbers but attendance is down. And that fact hasn't gone unnoticed by the newspaper reporters that I spoke to at the last meeting
