For what it is worth, I think that the tides are turning in RT's favour with regard to the situation at hand. Here are some thoughts:
1. We have always thought that this is about money and not theology. It is now clear that money is irelands solution to the problem.
2. The amount of PR activity shows the level of uncertainty that CC has about their ability to extort money out of this township.
3. The RLUIPA is an unconstitutional piece of legislation. Even I can see that, and, as most of you will agree, I am an idiot.
4. We are now headed for a test of that legislation. We have Marci (who is not an idiot - - - quite contrare - - - ) and all of this PR bs will fall to to the wayside ultimately. Yeah, Spring O'Brian and Wendy Berger will make a lotta money, but ultimately, they are toast.
5. We are encouraged - - - that may make some of you sad, but so be it. LOL!
6. CC is all about money. There is no real spiritual content to their effect. To all with an IQ over 80, that should be abundantley clear. If folks wanna pledge their souls and finances to such an endeavour, that is their right. But, the moraility of their institution is quite at question in the minds of most reasonable human beings given the present circumstances. Just apply "The Reasonable Man" logic to this legal problem.
Ultimately, it looks to me that we shall win this argument. The only question is how much extortion money will we have to pay Mr. David Ireland?
What can I say - I agree with you 99%...The only disagreement - My guess is that Ms. Berger will be out...She may have a behind the scenes roll, and will continue in front of the planning board, but my guess is she won't earn her fame or fortune in the courtroom. My assumption is that she's not a trial lawyer (I could be wrong) and frankly, I would expect Beckett will bring in their own constitutional experts.

Now your talking Rat!!! I agree we are in the drivers seat as far a Federal courtroom showdown is concered! It is likely that the good rEV is looking for a payoff from our wondeful town at this point in order to save face with his "flock". He can then claim that the lawsuit would have been to drawn out to accomplish the mega-dream this decade, etc...I say fu*k him, let's drag him through the courts, win, and then counter sue cC right out of business...just my opinion wHINY...
