Hi. I live in WML and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on steps I can take with a neighbor that keeps her house like a pigpen. There is paint peeling off, Old bags of leave on the front lawn, the roof is falling apart. Nobody takes care of this house and it's an eyesore. Is there anything that can be done?
This family has a reputation for being extremely rude and nasty. I have very open relationships with all other neighbors - but NOBODY is able to speak with this family.
I just called WML and they told me that they have no jurisdiction over this.
And I WAS hoping to avoid calling the town - as I don't want "trouble" with any neighbors. But I also can stand living next to a slum house - not when I do everything to keep my house/property presentable.
It appears you're screwed anyway with regard to being friendly with these people and you've gotten nowhere with a friendly request; it seems like it's privacy fence time.
If they ask why, you could always say you've taken up nude sunbathing or that your new dog likes to eat paint chips and old engine blocks.
The sad part is that when you put up a fence, the "pretty" side goes toward the neighbor--what a waste! lol
if you can't talk to her...and she's got a track record for being rude...i would line the side with tall bushes or a fence...it's not worth getting into a war over...which will most likely happen if you call the health dept.
