Just went past CC while running some errands and noticed there was a guy parked in front installing the new sign. I'm sure we can all rest assurred that it was done with all the necessary permits and inspections required by law.
Seems they are moving full steam ahead in spite of (supposedly) still requiring a lot of inspections and permits. What did their last press release say...that they were planning to start holding services in March. Glad we can count on the twp. to protect our interests and always do what's right. C.
As you know, the township has turned a blind eye to the enforcement of the sub-codes and NEC requirements pertinent to electrical signage despite my perseverence and continual kvetching. They just blew me off.
Given that, why would RT enforce any other laws pertinent to irelands business enterprise, especially when nobody is bitching about it?

ps - - - anyone wanna bet that ireland is not going to be the receipient of a bunch of federal "stimulus package" money, directly and indirectly? Bet he has approval for a bunch of cash for more faith based initiatives (like methadone clinics, prisoner rehab programs, and so forth). Also, his road work requirements are "shovel ready" as they say. Bet we are going to see that work done via federal funding.
Nice to know that we are all supporting his "church". Gotta wonder if that portion of our taxes that go towards supporting his folly are tax deductable as a chaitable contribution.
I see that they re-covered the new sign with the old plastic cover again. Must be waiting for some special day of unveiling. Maybe when they get the elephants and tigers scheduled and the big top in place. Do you think they will have a big open house and let all the poor people of Rockaway come in and view the Majesty of Ireland? Oh boy. I'm ready to give my tax dollars to support that.
