Questions for Monday night

Let's not make this the "Todd sucks" board.
Please post questions you wish to ask Monday night, so we can all have input to make them the most effective.

Hi Adam--Glad you asked!

How many ATTENDEES does CC have on a normal week, (NOT just members)? I don't believe that's been addressed.

If they have 5,000 members, and according to the good Reverend 75% attend services, there are probably a significant number above and beyond that who actually attend services.

Membership in CC requires a 3-month class to be taken, and a 10% "expected" tithe.

How many people attend the church on a casual basis without officially becoming a member?

I know that I've attended 4 or 5 churches in my lifetime but only went through the effort of joining one; I know many others who do the same thing--casual congregants.

What are his calculations on that? I'm sure he couldn't possibly estimate!

Great question. By Ireland's formula, it would be 3750.My question woulb be where do they sit??? If the cathedral only hols 3000 either a) the 4000 number on their website is true, or b) they will be using the banquest hall for overflow.

Once again, the numbers don't jive.

Another question for someone...Ask Ireland what is the quickest route for MICU to get above 140 Green Pond. And does he know how much additional time is needed to go a secondary route.

Another Part of my question--

Regarding the number of congregants...

I'm referring to people who are NOT members and who merely attend the church without making the investment of time and money to actually join.

I'm sure there are a bunch--

Due to basketball practice, I won't arrive at the meeting until 9:20 - 9:30.  Here's a line of questioning I'd like asked - if someone can be so kind to take it over:

Dr. Ireland, you stated in the December meeting that you will build 75 classrooms.  Is that number correct?

And your school cafeteria will seat almost 1000, is that correct?

A typical school classroom usually holds over 20 children.  You could conceivably not only hold over 1500 students in 75 classrooms, but you'd have no problem feeding them in only two shifts.  Can you please explain to us why you need 75 classrooms for 'only' 500 students, and would you be willing to build fewer classrooms - something more in line with what a typical school needs for 500 students?

Thanks to anyone who picks up this question for me!  I'll see you all tomorrow, but unfortunately, not until late.

Rick

How about a request from Todd ("middle ground") since he won't be able to show his face--

Reverend, would you be willing to scale back your church so that, for example, it would fit into the existing facilities and of a size that this board deems suitable for the surrounding area?

I wonder how much he's willing to "work with" the town!

I wonder what a "good neighbor" he really intends to be.

I wonder if we can hold him to his word.
