This information was sent to us at Voices of Rockaway, I thought it was a good idea to share this with you all:
I wonder if you could help us get the word out that the Board has narrowed the superintendent search down to two finalists. They are Superintendent of South Plainfield Schools, Dr. Robert Rosado, and Superintendent of New Milford Public Schools, Ms. Elaine Baldwin. Both will be available to meet with the public on Thursday, Feb. 3, in the Copeland cafeteria. Ms. Baldwin is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. and Dr. Rosado is scheduled for 8:15 p.m. At the conclusion of the question and answer period, forms will be available for community input.
Best wishes,
Lisa

The Christ Church Plan for the redevelopment of 140 Green Pond Rd is just too big for the area.
At quick glance, neither candidate seems to have an impressive background. I will make every effort to attend this meeting. The new Super has a big job ahead of them to correct the mess Parciak created. When we moved here 15 years ago, the school system was highly rated. As we put our children through KDM, it was OK but not great, however, Copeland is a complete disaster. 3 teams per grade, all taking a different approach, no consistency in curriculum, and a complete lack of discipline. Not to mention the facility itself is run down. Ever look at the field behind the school? It’s a total embarrassment.

Guess where I was in 7th and 8th grade. Hillside School in Montclair, Right down the road from Christ Church. Of course it was a Lutheran church or something like that back then.
