What do I do? The fireworks in this area are driving my kids, my pets, other neighbors and wildlife anxious. Now that summer is here, there are fireworks all the time. Needless to say, they are against the law, can cause fires and damage, and can hurt those shooting them off. I've called the police but nothing ever seems to get done. Last night, I know it was 4th of July, but they went on from afternoon until 10:30 at night. Today they started at 9:15 AM. I made numerous calls to the police and even gave them an address of one of the offenders, but they still were shooting them off until late last night. IS THIS NO MAN'S LAND WHERE ANYTHING GOES? I know there were complaints on this board about the church hurting the environment, well so are the fireworks. If it didn't rain yesterday, I'm sure there would have been fires caused by these illegal fireworks since it has been very dry. There were complaints on this board about church bells, well the endless booming of fireworks gives one the impression of being in a war zone. Why isn't anything being done???? If the people of Lk Telemark would all call the police maybe we would have zero tolerance around here like Denville. Or do the people of LK Telemark like illegal fireworks but hate church bells? Maybe people of LK Telemark wouldn't mind a few acres of land being burned down and losing a few houses. If we keep on the police maybe they will do something to stop this immature behavior of this lake community. Or maybe the community wants to keep its low class, redneck status. I for one have tried my best to make this a nice community to try and lose the reputation it has. How about you? Would you like to live in a better thought of community?
You bet I do. DO YOU? Or else you would have heard all the noise yesterday and will hear all the noise today and tomorrow and then on future weekends. You would have seen all the firework wrappers on the streets. You will see people illegally riding ATV's around the neighborhood. People letting their dogs run loose. Clacking of horseshoes on Friday nights with no regard to people who must get up early on Sat. Should I go on?

Why anyone would want to defend such trash is beyond me. And I use to think highly of you MR. Bill. But I guess you're only good at denouncing religion and minorities. Give me one good reason why breaking the law is good in Lk Telemark?? If you can't, why stick up for it and let your community keep being known as the red neck, inbred community? If you cared for your community, you just might want to make it a GOOD community and try to get rid of the reputation it has. Oops 3:06 another one went off. you both have proved my point about some of the people living in Lk Telemark. Believe me if I knew this place was like this, I would never have moved here. I was brought up in a decent, law abiding community. I guess both of you are part of the fireworks, atv, leave their dogs running loose, leave your kids home alone while you're at the bar crowd. I wanted to try and get this community with a better reputation so my kids wouldn't have to be made fun of at school cause they're from Lk Telemark. I wanted to try so it doesn't sound like Iraq here on weekends, I wanted to try so people don't almost get run over by atv's on the roads. I want my kids in a better community. Not one where anything goes. But those of you who are happy living in a place where it's called white trash ruin it for everyone else.
For someone who does not currently reside in NJ, you certainly seem to have quite a bit of repressed anger for those who do. I guess your attempt at another social experiment has failed as you did not get a rise out of us, but in return you seem to have gotten yourself quite angry over being caught in one lie after another.
