I will be vague about this, and I am sure you can all figure out why.
I recieved a call today that was very interesting, it was from a member of the clergy in Montclair. He shed some interesting light on the entire situation. I was happy to speak to him and to let him know that the good people of Rockaway have nothing against the people of Montclair or anyones religious beliefs. His response was refreshing - he said 'we all know that'. He asked not to be publicly names and I can understand and respect why. Do not read this wrong it is not as if he called to blast Christ Church. He wanted to let me know that people were following this situation and that there is in fact a 'history' in Montclair of less than perfect dealings with Christ Church. Most of the "issues' surround parking, retail establishments having their parking used by non-customers and similar types of issues.
I was offered an oppurtunity to get a message to the good people of Montclair and we intend on using that invitation. If anyone wants more information you can call me.
Have a nice day.
Lisa

The Christ Church Plan for the redevelopment of 140 Green Pond Rd is just too big for the area.
I know a family who lives near CC in Montclair. They follow this situation very closely too. They read the papers and are hoping and praying that CC moves to Rockaway Township.
They describe CC as presenting a real quality of life issue for the town of Montclair on Sundays. They hate it and want it out of there.
Interesting indeed...I wish Jennings could pick up on this one, what with all the public claims by CC about how they are just adored by Montclair. Could it be that no official in Montclair would publicly admitt to the fact that they will be dancing in the streets the day this mega-congestion leaves town??? What it really comes down to is the fact that CC has a dream (at least their leader does) and there is nothing wrong with that...the problem is the proposed location, and the ever deepening lengths of desperation that the CC PR machine is reaching for to try and fit this size 17 of a proposal into a size 4 shoe of a property - it just doesn't fit!!!
Now heres the rub - big $$$ have been thrown rather recklessly IMHO at this deal - how does CC recover from this???? Why, a gigantic lawsuit against our town of course!! I am sure that is the council being given to iRELAND as this thing drags painfuly along - "don't worry, we have a win-win - we either bully our way in, or we recoup our losses at the town's expense!!!" Let's hope for a fair and balanced Judge for the eventual lawsuit.
