I wonder if the time may be ripe for a class action lawsuit. It would be initiated by the good folks who live in the Meriden section of town naming Rockaway Township and its government officials (town council and planning board) as defendants.
The lawsuit would seek compensation for the extreme loss in property values created in this area of town by Rockaway Township officials for their negligent approval of a Megachurch the size of an indoor stadium right in the midst of the place in which we reside (as if this area was the Meadowlands or something like that). At the root of the lawsuit would be the claim of bad faith and negligence in which these township officials acted. Their decision to approve was not in the best interest of the folks by whom they were elected to protect. In essence, these folks acted in the best interest of an outsider Megachurch and did nothing at all to protect the interests of the taxpaying residents of the township in which this thing is to reside.
Is anyone else interested in getting together and chatting about this possibility and then commencing an action? If so, let me know.
