I recieved a call earlier today that the PR firm for Chirst Church is set to hold a press conference on Thursday,November 18, 2004 at 10:30am at the Agilent site. If you are in the area stop by- we plan on being there to hear the latest spin offered by the applicant.
Interestingly it appears that the applicant has choosen to disgard the proper forum for the presentation of information. In an environment of a press conference they can not be cross examined by experts or have the planning board members questions to answer - how nice for them. What do they get - free press...but just what does this look like to the public ??? I think it looks a bit desperate.
Hope to see you there!
Lisa

Maybe they are desperate, but it could also be that maybe they are real smart cookies who understand how the system works. I am very confident that RT's PR firm will respond to CC's press conference appropriately. (Our firm must be out there somewhere as I am sure that we would not be so dumb as to go up against a giant like CC without one. It would sort of be like a person who represents himself in a court of law - - - that person would have a fool for a client.)
I know you are a simple college student so I understand your misguided views of the world. If a municipality were to hire a PR firm it would be a viewed as an inappriopriate expense and a waste of tax dollars. The developement process has an avenue for public comment and media involvement the use of PR is only for spin.
If you were a taxpayer you may understand this concept more clearly - and NO being a guest in your family members home does not make you a taxpayer. I am sure you are not renting a room from them as that would be a violation of the law as rooming houses are not permitted in RT.
Have a good day at school!

Uh huh, whatever you say. I am sure that the taxpayers would never even consider paying someone $25K per year for a PR firm as a reasonable expense to fight off the monstrosity as if loosing this battle is not going to cause RT a penny. Actually, I guess most residents think that it will bring nothing but bliss to the township if they get their way.
Go back to sleep, Lisa. And I will study hard today to make everyone proud of me. Gosh, I love school! Sweet studies and sweeter ladies.
ps - you are cute, Lisa, but just not the brightest bulb. Ahhh, brains and beauty - - - such a rare combination to find.
I am having more fun than a kid ought to be allowed to have! BTW, "rediculous" is spelled ridiculous, lol! (you probably knew that way back when in your college days, I know). It would be great to be in the newspapers. Do you think that, if I keep it up, that will happen? Do you think that I will contaminate our towns cause? LOL!! As for girlfriends, I have more than I can deal with right now. I have no idea how the concept of polygomy ever got a foothold in Utah or any place else. No way!
