Well once again the Daily Record surprises with an editorial agreeing that the DEP exemptions were too hasty and should be re-examined. Also a rather objective article in today's Neighbor News about the CC project with quotes from our own Ms. Salberg, as well as, a letter to the editor in the NN calling for a township referendum on the CC project due to all the lost tax $. Is it my imagination or are people and the media finally starting to wake up and realize the damage this thing will do?
As for the media, I know a lot of people in town who have cancelled their subscribtions to the Daily Record because of their editorial position. Maybe that has had an effect upon them.
From a logical perspective, obviously, the DEP exemptions should be re-examined for the reasons stated in those articles. However, the political reality still stands.
As an example - - - Have you, as of yet, received a response to your query to the DEP or to the Governor? I have not.
BTW - It slays me about the negative response that the people have had about my personal response to things in this town as expressed on this board, despite the fact that I have actually written to the Governor and the DEP, as have you. How may of the other advocates on this venue have sent letters? If they had, why did they not share them with the rest of the room?
Anyway, you know that I sent a letter to both parties, as did you. Yours was probably better written than mine. But, I sent one. Where are everyone elses letters?
Please post them for all of us to see.
Oh? You did not write one! Ach!! I see. That would have taken more than an opinion. It would have taken a half an ounce of thought and at least 10 minutes of your time! I see!
I have to admit I really liked the Neighbor News Article this week. Weinstien has a great deal to say about Rockaway Twp - while he is collecting a paycheck - he claims we have some "hidden agenda". HEY WAKE UP Mr. Weinstien our agenda is as clear and open as it could be. If you have a specific question or concern you are more than welcomed to give me a call anytime to clear up your misconceptions. Until then stop the lies and games it has already damaged your reputation and cost your firm 1 client - Sometimes people know more people than you think
In other news Victor B's letter to the editor was interesting and I agree 100% that the loss of tax dollars is a major concern and one that we should be able to discuss without threats of litigation from the applicant.
As for the games and name calling here over the past few days - may I suggest it is time to grow up and stop the nonproductive chatter. MANY people have written many letters to many people - a message board is not always the appropriate place to air all concerns.
I have heard that the NJ.com board is about to deal with some legal action for lies posted by "formerD" - I thought you may all find that interesting.
have a nice day!
Lisa
