If you do not keep this mega monstro-city out of that site, I will personally get on a soap box at every possible opportunity.
From my bully pulpit I will explain to each and every one of my neighbors, and anyone else that resides in Rockaway Township that will listen, about your failure to protect our town from this.
I will close every conversation with them that my feeling is that any elected official, appointed employee or contractor even remotely involved with this failure to protect and serve needs to be removed from their post at the earliest possible time.
Go to work and do what I right for the taxpayers and the residents of this town!
I will do the same and so should everyone in RT. The people are fighting way more than our officials. Other towns have successfully stopped development, why can't RT? I feel the Mayor should step down from the planning board and lead the fight for our town, after all he lives here too. I am sick of reading about CC and their fight being won at every round. There's a reason they are fighting so hard and I think RT should be very afraid of what will happen if they get in. There is too much money being paid out by CC for just a church. Mr. Mayor do something. That is your job. Or come next election the people you have helped will be the people who can't vote in RT.
Well put folks, and I agree wholeheartidly. I will do the same thing if this thing comes in to our town. To quote Arnold, I think that these guys are acting like a bunch of little girly men. Stand up, act like men, and represent the people who elected you, Sceusi and friends! Instead, you officials cower in front of the almighty Ireland. Disgusting.
Count me in. I think the Mayor is doing a good job and would hate to see him go down for this.
My assesment from what I have seen so far:
The planning board has a lot of dead wood, and not one set of balls between them. Dimen is in over his head and needs to be replaced imediatley. The town planner has been asleep at the wheel, and needs to be be replaced with someone more proactive.
I would only hope things are going on behind the scenes to stop this mess (legaly of course) and the public meetings are just a formality.
